Tuesday, April 15th - Deadline Day

I won't be doing a full blown post today because I am on a deadline for my final quarterly report. Thank Gods! So, I'm just going to do some quick bullets of what is going through my mind right now.

• Politics: How interesting that the latest Survey USA poll for Indiana shows Hillary with a 16 point lead over Obama? The trend all this cycle has been a wide margin by Clinton getting slowly whittled away as we draw closer to the primary date. Granted, there is still three weeks to go, and once Pennsylvania is out of the way next week, everything will be ramped up. However, Obama has been running commercials incessantly for two weeks now. Could it be that it has been overkill for a state that has barely seen any presidential commercials for 40 years? A troubling thing for Obama should be that Hillary went from 13 points behind in Indianapolis, to 1 point ahead. This is significant because the 7th District, which compromises most of Indy, went for John Kerry in 2004. I figured this would be a slam dunk for him, and he would make up some of the delegate math if Hillary still won the state. Obviously, a lot can happen, but it is certainly interesting! (Survey USA has been the most reliable polling firm this cycle, so while there is still no real baseline in Indiana, this is at least a quality snapshot)
  
• American Idol: Does anyone else think that an all Mariah Carey show is going to be hell on earth?
• Battlestar Galactica: Since I finally got to watch Friday's episode last night, I am still basking in the glow of how great this s how is. I am so sad that there are only 18 more episodes left. However, since the Cylon stuff was a bit more interesting than the rest, it made me intrigued with the notion of a movie or mini-series telling the same story from the point of view of the Cylons. It might just be a geek-gasm on my part, but I think it could be pretty darn great.
• Fitness: Day two of the new workout kicked my ass, or rather, my arms, and this was with taking down the weight so that I could do all the sets and required reps. The good think about this routine is that they don't give me a range. In my old one, each exercise gave something like 6-10 reps, and I would alway shoot for 8. In this one, I have to do all 10 or 12. It means I have to check my ego a little because I like the fact I can use the big boy weights. Ah well, it'll be worth it.
