Well, I think I'm almost caught up from the weekend...I guess it was pretty eventful.

After Tyler left my place around 3:30pm on Sunday, I stumbled over to work for about three hours to catch up on some reports. Monday was kind of mid-month ground zero for deadlines, which is incredibly stupid because pretty much all of the quarterly/annual/semi-annual reports that are due also have monthly reports that needed to get done, too...on the same deadline schedule. Do these people think that all of a sudden some phantom week pops up at the beginning of the month that allows us to not only get the normal reporting done in the usual amount of time AND work on insipid reports that pretty much regurgitate everything we've reported on a monthly basis? As someone who worked in government for 9 years, I totally get the attitude about crappy reporting now.

After going home, I biked down to the grocery store downtown to pick up some things to get me through the first couple days of the week. I just didn't have the energy to drive down to the good grocery store. So, I picked up ingredients for turkey tacos. I splurged on the cheese and some low fat baked chips, but the rest was all pretty low carb and/or healthy carbs. It was good. :) I settled in to watch Big Brother, which incidentally, went from boring to quasi-mental in one episode. I may dislike Jen, but wow, she's a crazy bitch. I love how she thinks the other house guests will think her nominations are good because of all the negative sarcasm spewing from the waif, Danielle, when everyone gets it is because Danielle "stole" Nick from her. Crazy, but she at least made it a bit interesting.

Monday was a pretty typical day, but I am still feeling the effects of the lack of sleep over the past few days. I had one more report to get done before the end of the day, and when I came home, I had every intention of going to the gym. However, the more time passed the more tired I became, and I literally passed out on the couch from THREE hours. By the time I talked on the phone with Tyler around 7:30, there was just no way that I was going to get down there. Feeling like a lazy schlub, but the new diet is working pretty well to lean me out, which is pretty much the goal anyway. I just need to make sure I'm not losing more muscle.

Tomorrow's blog: I'm going to the BMV, Harry Potter IMAX, out to Metro with the boys and Mom, AND Big Brother 8. Exciting stuff folks :) I really wish I could just see Tyler though...unfortunately, he works overnight three nights a week.
