I had meant to do some blogging this weekend or at least repost my last good blog from MySpace, but I was just too damn busy the whole weekend, which was great on many different levels.

As you know from previous posts, Thursday/Friday morning was pretty eventful. Unfortunately, due to those events, Friday during the day sucked harder than a whore on dollar BJ night. I was SO tired the whole day, and really, the coffee was not helping. The report I had to complete that day is by far the absolute worst one I have to do (Fuck you, ESG City!). So, it was really a perfect storm of Friday the 13th Hell. I came in at 7am after only sleeping for about 4 hours, and then I didn't get out of work until about 4pm. Instead of working out AGAIN, I decided to take a nap because I was to meet up with some girlfriends and Blanch at a beer garden around 6.

I met up with Athena and Blanch at the Rathskeller. I've known Athena since college. She didn't actually get to pick her blog name, but I told her that I've always thought of her as the Goddess of Wisdom, and that I also think Athena was a crazy bitch. :) I also had some former co-workers there, and so, I was being the social butterfly flitting back and forth between the two groups. I do not have names for all the former co-workers, but I am having dinner with the best of the bunch on Thursday. I will be sure to get them to name themselves then.

After drinking three very large, German brews, I had to figure out if I had the energy to go out to the Metro or Greg's. Blanch was calling it a night because we were planning a trip to go to Louisville on Saturday night, Romeo stayed home for the same reason, and HR was up in Michigan. Since Metro is on the same street as the Rathskeller, and I conveniently parked down there. I stumbled down the street to hang down there.

The only person I really knew there was Xena Lesbian Princess, and she and I commiserated over never having the guts to really go up and talk to someone we think is hot. It just goes back to the being shy and overall fear of rejection thing. Plus, since I've lost the weight and put on the muscle, I think most people just believe A) He's outgoing so he should talk to me, B) He's a whore, or C) He's an arrogant prick. So, I never really go up and talk to people, and people of interest rarely come up to talk to me. That is...until tonight. I was hanging out on the periphery of a group of people I know, and this very attractive, blond haired, blue eyed guy, who will be called Tyler, came up to say hello. He started out with the typical "Do I know you from somewhere/Have we met before" question that almost made my eyes roll involuntarily, but then, as it turned out, we may have actually met before in a previous life. We grew up in the same county, and since we're of similar ages, there is a distinct likelihood that we did come in contact in High School. Granted, we were both "straight" at the time, but it was an interesting way to start the conversation. We really hit it off very well. The major downside being that he is just out of a seven year relationship with someone who cheated on him pretty regularly. Granted, as I have said in previous blogs, I am not really on the prowl for a relationship, but since he and I have sort of gone through the same foul relationship hell, I think there is something to be said for going slow and really getting to know each other. We spent the rest of the evening together, and while I did stay at his place, we did not have sex, which frankly was a wonderful thing. It has been a long time since I've been able to snuggle and wake up next to someone such as Tyler, and if taking it slow and being patient means that I get to be with him more, then I am confident he is worth every bit of it. All in all, it was a great start to the weekend. I have often scoffed at the whole notion that a relationship can happen when you least expect it, but keeping in mind the obstacles, it might certainly be the case here.

OK, this blog is getting rather long, and I still haven't even touched upon Saturday and Sunday. I'm going to end this here, and I will come back later in the day to do the rest of the weekend.

Two cups of coffee down...and off to report!
