Tuesday, June 3rd - Tuesday Morning Music Club

As I shake off the "oh so serious" aura this blog took during the primary season, I am going to try to get back to regularly scheduled features that will be hilariously irregular (re: Daily Demotivators, Beefcake of the Week, etc). So, I bring you Tuesday Morning Music Club.

Trying to define my musical tastes is pretty damn difficult. I suppose the only real common thread is that I tend to only like female singers, which may or may not be a gay thing, but it also drastically limits my ability to karaoke, because I have a deep, deep voice (Praise Cher, she has a deep voice and no range). With that thread out of the way, I give you just a brief glance at the women I do listen to: Madonna, Audra McDonald, Cassandra Wilson, PJ Harvey, Garbage (yay, Shirley), Tina Turner, Cher, Bjork, Janet, Mary J Blige, Goldfrapp, Poe, Dixie Chicks, Dolly Parton, etc, etc, etc. To say my taste is all over the map is to really underestimate maps....

Anyway, recently, I have been delving back into dance music, mainly because Romeo/Halle has me looking for songs for him/her to perform, and my current obsession, coincidentally, came down to the work of a single, European DJ, Fedde La Grand, who just so happens to be hot as HELL! (Pictures at the End of the Post) I know both of these might not be new to the someone really into electronica, but they are new to me. And just to pat myself on the back, look at me coding an embedded MP3 player!

Have you heard Starbucks' latest darling, Duffy? I've been listening to her album and it is great. I recommend highly.

Yeah, "Mercy" was on my radar for a while, even before it was on Grey's Anatomy! I do need to check out the rest of her album though.
