I'm working on a tremendously long post from the weekend, but I wanted to smack something out here.
I'm endorsing:
President: Hillary (did you expect something different?)
Governor: Jill Long Thompson - Unfortunately, both of the candidates have not been able to gain a foothold because all the air in the room has been sucked out by the presidential campaign. I had the thought over the weekend, that if one of my major beef's with Obama is that I do not feel he has the experience necessary to be president, how can I support Schellinger, who has never held any type of political office? So, Jill, get Mitch in November (and give me a job).
7th District House: Tough call here, but I really do not want Andre Carson to retain his seat that he won in the special election. I highly doubt that Julia Carson, on her deathbed, yelped to heaven "Send my Seed!" Oh you laugh, but that is what one of her supporters said AT HER FUNERAL to give Andre some sort of right to the office. He has less qualifications than I do. So, sorry, Andre (who insists on spelling is name with the accent mark, like someone is going to mistake him for AndrEE). There are three other qualified candidates, but I am choosing David Orentlicher, even if I think he is not as electable as some of the others. He's brilliant, and he actually participates in the community. He even comes to Indy Pride. So, he gets my vote, even if he kinda looks like Weird Al.
Coroner: Don't care...unless I'm dead
Get out and vote, no matter who it is you're voting for!
