The great irony of my current situation is that I am sitting at work at 8:35 am, still mildly drunk from the night before (okay...not mildly), and I am rebuilding the substance abuse counselor's computer.
She may try to make me go to rehab, and I'll have to say no, no, no.
The reason for my present state is the fact that I drank a lot of vodka last night, and vodka and I are not friends. I wouldn't even consider us pleasant acquaintances. It is really the only alcohol out there that can really give me a hangover and leaves my recollections blurry, but I drank it because I have infused vodka leftover from my party a couple weeks ago. WAIT! I just remember I had a shot of tequila. Strike that...there are TWO alcohols that are not my friend, and I drank both of them last night. Holy shit, Martha! Maybe I do need rehab...
Anyway, backing up a bit, this was a busy weekend. We had a party to go to on Friday (why does that seem so far away) and Saturday night, and last night was the Baglady show debut of Kitty Dusharme (Blanche) and Halle Pino (Romeo). As you recall, they both did the bus tour this year in drag, but they decided to do a show, too. The show was a benefit for the Indiana Youth Group, which is an organization that helps gay youth. So, the strapping on of tits was for a good cause. They both did a great job, and I encourage you to check out their blogs because I am sure they are going to go into much greater detail.
Since the bar the benefit was at is notorious for expensive and weak drinks, I decided to have some people come over beforehand and drink a bit. Thankfully, the bar is only a few blocks from my place, so if I needed to, I could stumble there and back. By the time the second round of drag queens began, I have to say the rest of the night is pretty much a blur. I know I had a great time, and I recall playing the Chipmunk Song, Come to My Window, and Goodbye Earl on the jukebox at the diner that we ate breakfast at, and then arriving home via Mom & the Love Bus.
What a night! Oy... Rehab is for quitters!
Right now, I am just hoping to stay upright for the rest of the day. I have been dreadfully sore all weekend from my trips to the gym last week. Sore, like it was difficult to fully extend my arm, sore. The funny thing is that it feels much better this morning. Maybe vodka has a healing effect! Though it probably has more to do that I actually used my arm more last night because I didn't feel the pain...so it stretched out some of the kinks.
Okay, I am closing this stream of drunkenness entry. I hope everyone has a wonderful Monday! Back to the rehab computer...

I love drunk/hangover blog postings!
HAHAHA, sounds like a great weekend! Ironically I can drink all the vodka or tequila I want, but give me a glass of red wine and I'm hungover for days. And I love that you were fixing the substance abuse woman's computer. :-)
