I really didn't do anything major last night. It was raining cats and dogs for much of the evening, which meant no biking or anything. I did play a rigorous half hour (augmented with push-ups on the 10 count) of Wii Fitness and Wii Boxing, which is a surprisingly good workout and sweat session. It isn't a wonder that the lard ass game people are so annoyed with the Wii beating the Xbox and PS3. Why would they want to get up and move around when they can sit down and fall into a Cheeto induced trance. Anyway, I think in a combination of the batteries in the controller being low (I didn't notice this until later) and the fact that I hadn't played for a couple weeks, my Wii Fitness age jumped up to 39 from 26. Ugh...insult to injury. I continued to take the test two more times with a different character, Kim Jong Il and Jesus Christ, respectively (yes, I created little Miis for both), and oddly, or maybe not so oddly, Jesus had the best age (32..a year before, well, you know). I also boxed with Jesus, which was more for the funny irony of it all. Plus, who doesn't love a little holy retribution cast by our lord and savior? (If you read my MySpace blog, you know my feelings on religion....I need to repost it here).
After that, I watched a couple of Tivo'd shows from the night before. The Minor Accomplishments of Jackie Woodman and The Business, both original shows on the Independent Film Channel. I am continually amazed at what they get away with on commercial television. Granted, this is upper tier/upper channel digital cable, but it is by no means HBO or Showtime, and The Business actually had full frontal male nudity! Both of these shows are acerbically demented takes on life in Hollywood, and while I wouldn't say they are laugh out loud funny all the time, I am extremely amused by both of them.
Here is the opening credits for Jackie Woodman. Can you see how it is from the beginning...
And The Business...
So anyway, that was pretty much my Monday. Yes, I know...tres exciting, huh? I got to talk to Tyler a bit before he went to work, and I got some rabid text messages from Romeo, who was stuck in Colt's game traffic, but it was obviously a low key night. I may go out for a beer tonight, just because beer is cheap on Tuesday, and I am still a bit short until Friday. Ahhh...gotta love $4.50 pitchers!

I was more entertained watching the opening credits of these shows than I have been watching a half hour of what the major networks are putting on. I totally need to see the minor accomplishments of whatsername.
