Here is the one sheet showing Depp as Sweeney Todd:

Anyway, I think this might be a fun costume to get together, and I oddly have a connection to the source material. When I was younger and my father actually payed for the movie channels on cable, we had Showtime, and in the early 80's they had a series called Broadway on Showtime. One of my earliest television memories was Sweeney Todd with Angela Lansbury in the role of Mrs. Lovett. I suppose this musical turned me gay and darkly comic. So, I am excited about this costume. Now, I just need to come up with one more, and I am open to suggestions.
Tonight I met up with Athena and Blanch for dinner at the Broad Ripple Brew Pub. Argh, I love this place, but I cannot help ordering the beer cheese crock and other unhealthy things. I figure I have been reasonably good all week, so I am not that upset about it, but I have to watch this whole idea of rewarding myself with food. Also, I am a bit inebriated, which is why this blog might be a bit incoherent.
It looks like it is going to be another busy weekend, and I am looking forward to posting about it on Monday. Tomorrow I am going to try to get through my avalanche of laundry, and then I am going to possibly meet Blanch and Romeo for dinner before they go to their costume the party. The only reason I am going to do this is because they are going in full costume, and I want to laugh at them. Then after the party, I am going to meet up with Romeo and possibly Blanch, HR, and Mom, for a fundraiser for the local AIDS walk. It is called Sluts with Nuts, and it is basically the bar workers dressed up in really bad drag. On Sunday, we are traveling to Blanch's hometown of French Lick to witness the 150th town birthday and the annual Pumpkin Festival parade, which oddly doesn't have much to do with pumpkins. French Lick is also home to two large resort hotels that have both been fully renovated recently and Indiana's latest "riverboat" casino. It should be a fun and bloggable. Have a great weekend!
