Okay, I started writing this on Wednesday, and then I never got back to it. So the first couple paragraphs are a day old.

Wednesday's Post

I don't know if it was a getting enough sleep or just the act of going to the gym on Monday, but by the time I got home from work on Tuesday, I didn't feel the need to lay down and take a nap, which has been an extremely rare thing lately. I did get home in time to watch Bill Clinton on Oprah (more on that in a minute), and I ate some cereal (Special K with Mixed Berries and Vanilla Soy Milk). Then I got on my bike to ride the Monon again. Since it was a bit hotter yesterday than Sunday, I held no allusions about doing the 20 mile jaunt again, but once I got on the trail, I just kept going. Instead of stopping at 82nd/86th Street, I actually just kept on going up to 96th Street, and I realized my original assertion was all wrong. I'm a big liar. :-) I actually only did 18 miles on Sunday. I just figured the Monon stopped at 82nd/86th because you have to cross a major street and jog over a bit to meet up with it. Oh well, it's just a couple miles. I've still done probably close to 45 miles all told in the last three days. I think that is pretty good in the grand scheme of things.

After the ride, I fixed some dinner, and Romeo came over after work to do a little pre-drinking before going to Karaoke. He didn't eat dinner, so he was a bit of a drunken mess, which really only made the night more entertaining. :)

Thursday's Post

So, there were some personal eruptions that occurred on Wednesday night, that I am not going to get into here. I know I should be transparent here on the blog (and I certainly have been in the past), but frankly, I'm just not in a mood to discuss it. I will say this: I am tired of living up to other people's expectations of me. All I can do in this world is make myself happy. I know I am not the most happy go lucky guy in the world, but I will be damned if I will be made to feel badly about the choices I have made in my life thus far. Have I been perfect? Far from it, but whatever choices, good and bad, are still my choices. If I cannot stand by them, then I am not very human. To those who choose to judge, your way is not always the correct one, and there is a whole wide world outside of the narrow shell you have decided to inhabit.

Anyway :-) it is currently almost 3pm on Thursday, and I am home for the weekend. I am trying to decide if I want to venture down to the Circle and witness the craziness that will be the NFL opening free concert with Hinder, Kelly Clarkson, and Faith Hill. On one hand, this is not something that happens all that often in Indy (okay, ever), but on the other, they are expecting 100,000 people. It will be a freaking zoo. I will probably stay home because I need to pack and stuff for my trip to Detroit tomorrow. Blanch and I (Thelma and Louise) are making the trek up there to visit a friend of ours. We considered not going this year, but since we rarely get to see our friend, we're making the trip. Hope springs eternal that it will be fun, but if not, we'll be back on Sunday night to celebrate HR's b-day.

Needless to say, I won't be blogging tomorrow, but I will try to on Sunday night or do a super-sized one on Monday. I hope you have a great weekend!

Oh, one more thing, after reading the local alternative newspaper here, I found out that the Indianapolis Museum of Art has embraced YouTube as a great way to attract more people to art. I watched this fantastic movie about the Art & Nature Park that is opening in 2009, and I have to tell you, I am absolutely amazed. I knew it was going to be fantastic, but I had no idea they were going to make the Moon of Endor! :) Kidding...anyway, here is the video:

I love Indy!
