First off, the good news: I got elected to the Board of Directors of Indy Pride! I'm very very happy about this, and I am looking forward to getting to work.
Second, I'm sick. Blah!
It started yesterday afternoon, with a scratchiness in my throat and fullness in my chest (no, not full bosoms). I didn't sleep very well last night, and now I am faced with getting a couple reports done this morning before heading to the northside for a meaningless meeting. On top of that, I open my office door this morning and a whoosh of hot air smacks me in the face. Not good. Of any office in the entire building, mine is the one that the AC needs to work at all times. Since I do not have a dedicated computer room, I have the server sitting right next to me in the office. While I have had to swallow my techie pride and leave the thermostat at 71 instead of 68, so that I do not freeze out the two other offices on my circuit, it is really really bad for a server to heat up like this, and I'm hoping this is a recent occurrence and it didn't happen all night. Since it was just moving from 79 to 80 when I opened the door, I'm thinking it would have been much much hotter if it has been doing it for 12 hours. Blah, so now, here I am, sitting in the office with my door open and fan on full blast waiting on the AC guy to get here. I'm sweating like a whore on nickle night, and I'm reasonably pissed.
