Just a quickie today...
I went to the volunteer meeting last night after a quick jaunt down Circle Centre Mall (specifically H&M) to get something new to wear to the festival on Saturday. Funny sidebar, I was wearing my favorite t-shirt that says "WWJD for a Klondike Bar." As I walked into the mall, I quickly remembered that the Southern Baptist Convention was meeting in town. Oops!
Anyway, the meeting was swift, and it wasn't really anything I didn't already know. After that, we went over to Olly's to get some drinks and gird ourselves for the Paint the Town Red fashion show, that really isn't a part of Pride week, but just happened to end up during Pride. It was a benefit for the Indiana AIDS Fund, but wow, was it lame. Good Cause...Lame Event.
Today is manual labor day. Blanche and I are going to Expo Design (the company that designs all the event stuff and floats) to help load the truck with stuff for tomorrow. Then we're going to meet Maestro to help him move the last of his big stuff into his apartment, and if the weather holds out (which doesn't look promising), we'll go to the festival site and actually start setting up tents.
Whew....:-)
Circle City IN Pride Tonight: A Night to Share benefiting the Indiana Youth Group (not sure yet if I am attending, we'll see how I feel after all the moving)
