I know, I said I wasn't going to post, but I found "better than YouTube" videos of these skits and I wanted to share.
At it's best, SNL has been the best political satire on the tube. Yes, I mean even more than Daily Show, too. Unfortunately, being funny every couple years is kind of hard to make you consistently catch the show.
Here is a part of the opening skit for SNL, which is a debate between Barack and Hillary. Unfortunately, it is not the whole skit, which ran some 11 minutes and had such highlights as the press admitting to be "in the tank" for Obama and making Hillary apologize for dissing Obama Girl (the actual one) for not asking a real question to Barack. This part is pretty funny:
This is Tina Fey's editorial on Weekend Update. You have to get through all the other stuff, but at the end, she gives Hillary some shout outs.
This is the stuff I like to see. Yes, it might not make much of a difference in the campaign at this point, but the bubble needs to burst NOW instead of in October. Obama folks should embrace this stuff and not act like SNL committed heresy. Calm down. You're making Scientologists look like the most well adjusted cult out there.

As for Tina, yes, she is on my short list of women I'd switch for.....hmmm, that might be an upcoming blog entry.
