I have been a bit lax in the posting of the FitDay graph this week, and I apologize. The big issue is that I have been blowing updating my dinners because I have been a bit off the wagon, and I guess denial is better than facing the cold, hard dietary facts. Granted, I really didn't go crazy and start eating chocolate covered everything, but I did buy a giant chunk of Pecorino Romano cheese at Costco, which has lead to romano encrusted everything this week. In the grand scheme of things, it is a pretty good cheese to binge on, because it is low fat, low sodium, no carbs, and a bit of protein, but still, I kinda felt like I was re-enacting Ratatouille. Add that to the Barilla Plus pasta I indulged in on Sunday, and well, this hasn't exactly been a highlight reel of a week. By the way, the Barilla Plus pasta is quite good, and while it has a few less carbs and a lot more protein, it is full of Omega 3 and many other high fiber ingredients. The best part is that it doesn't taste different from normal pasta. So, the next time you have a pasta craving, definitely check it out.
Yesterday, I started the process of nipping and tucking my current eating strategy. After shocking my system for the past two weeks with a very, very high protein diet, I am going to start coming down off the protein binge. It's not going to be anything drastic, but I'll just make changes like 6oz of Chicken instead of 8oz, etc. I will still be eating as many as 5 times a day, and I will still be full...but my calorie and protein intake will be lower. I'm going to shoot for 200 grams instead of 250.
As for working out, I changed my schedule a bit this week, because I really just couldn't drag my ass out of bed on Wednesday morning. I went yesterday morning, and I'm either going to go do legs after work today or tomorrow morning. I need to start working in more cardio, and I'm considering swimming. I'm just not sure my ego is up to bearing that much skin right now. We'll see!

P.S. I feel a political blog coming on. So, you may want to check back for a second post.

We all fall off of that wagon once in a while with our eating. The secret is to get back on and start over again.
Never give up.... NEVER SURRENDER
Have I stumbled into a Corey Hart music video? :-)
It was more of a reference to Toy Story (or at least I think that was the movie) LOL
I'm sure I'll be doing some cheating doing the long weekend. Already one of my buddies sent me a text to go out for drinks and half price appetizers after work (I of course said sure)
And I'm eating a bowl of Chicken Noodle Soup (god I don't even want to think of the sodium...too late) AND croutons ;)
Ah well...I plan to avoid going out this weekend. I'm about *this* close to completely cutting out drinking, or at least, making it a more rare occurance
Are you CRAZY man ... cutting out drinking is a last resort. But yes I did cut back on my drinking also (which seems to help a lot).
I might only go out on one day since the weather here in Chicago is suppose to be terrible this weekend... But I would feel like I cheated myself if I don't at least go out twice this weekend.
(hack-choke) no alcohol... i get the dt's just thinking about it.
I'm not saying it WILL happen, but lord knows, I've been drinking way too much on a regular basis. :)

Joking! I'm not that bad!
