I'm sorry for the pithy post yesterday. I was certainly well enough to type something, but I felt better served by sitting on my bum on the couch. I watched the first episode of Tin Man on Sci Fi. Talk about very weird... I have to give the writers credit for taking a risk on a known source, but sometimes the things were just a little too, I dunno, modern. For instance, referring to Oz as the O.Z. It was just a bit close to the OC. I'm going to stick with it, especially since the episodes of my favorite shows are dwindling as the writer's strike wears on.
Anywhoo, the weekend. It really was fairly uneventful. We didn't go out on Friday, and we skipped the Christmas party on Saturday. Friday night, while lounging on the couch, I finally had enough of the yippy little dog that has moved into the apartment directly below me. The dog barked all day for three days, and by the time Friday rolled around, I was ready to complain. So, I did the best passive aggressive thing I could do, and taped a tersely worded note onto the door knob of the apartment. Oddly, the barking stopped almost instantly. Then on Saturday, there was a knock at my door, and when I opened it, it was the inhabitant of said apartment with her boyfriend. She was going around to apologize about her dog, which was quite nice. Though when she asked if I wrote the note, I took one look at her boyfriend, and I decided lying was the best course. Ahhhh, passive aggression, it is not just for breakfast anymore.
Sunday, I met up with Maestro, Romeo, and Xena to watch Colts Vs. Jaguars game at Olly's. I still don't really watch the game when I'm there, but it was an excuse to get out of the house. All I can say is that $1.50 well drinks and a heavy pouring bartender are good/bad things. When I woke up on Monday, I felt pretty hungover, but as that feeling passed, I started to feel phlegmy and sick. It only got worse during the five hours that I spent at work. So, I decided to just go home. Thankfully, the yappy dog wasn't barking, otherwise, I might have walked down and coughed on it.
I am feeling much better this morning, and I have to get back to the gym tonight. This whole not working out thing is just gotten out of control, and the holidays are just not the time to take time off. So, let's hope for a burst of afternoon energy, which has really been my downfall recently!
