The weather here is still pretty unbearable, but it looks like things will cool off a little in Chicago this weekend. It is kind of amazing the difference a couple hours north will make in a weather pattern, but it is also pretty sad that we're considering 86 degrees to be a cold snap! It is kind of hard to plan on what you're going to wear when you know you're going to be sweating like Jerry Falwell (in hell..get it?). I would pretty much be comfortable to do shorts all weekend, but since we're going to be surrounded by pretty people who have probably injected botox all over their body so they don't sweat, I will probably need to put a little more effort into looking good. Obviously, I don't need to do it to snag a man or anything (more on that in a moment), but you don't want to look like you're from Indiana. Plus, I have to counteract the notion that lead to the naming of this blog! I've never been that much of a clothes horse mainly because I've never been able to afford the designer stuff. A part of me hopes that if I ever do reach a point where I can, I would still hesitate to spend $150 on a pair of jeans and $200 for a teeshirt. I find a special sort of dark satisfaction when someone in D&G compliments a shirt I just purchased on the Old Navy clearance rack for $2.99. I guess it is all how you work it. :)
I am certainly looking forward to Chicago, though not quite to the same level as Romeo. You would think we're taking him to Monte Carlo. Of course, he has never really been out in Boystown, and I certainly remember how I was the first time I went. I just hope he has fun. We'll have to go back when there isn't a special event like this going on because I have a feeling it is going to be next to impossible to get into the bars on Saturday night due to the crowds, but since the street will be blocked off, it should still be a good time. I wonder if it will be like Vegas, where you could walk around with your drinks on the street? Of course, as is with everything big that happens with Chicago, it is going to be like going out in Indy on a normal weekend. Everyone from here is going to be there! We make it into a sort of drinking game (like we need another reason to drink). Xena Lesbian Princess will be joining us on Saturday during the day before she shuffles off to meet up with Gabriel and the other residents of Lesbos. Don't forget to check out both Romeo and Xena's blogs. You can get perspectives on the weekend Roshomon style (Courage Under Fire style for those not up on classic Japanese directors - Kurosawa, Google it people).
The only other thing to report is that the reconciliation with Tyler is in full swing. We had basically been communicating over text for the last few days, mainly because he works third shift on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Wednesday is really the first evening of the week we have in common. Part of me was hesitant to meet up with him because it was inevitable that talk of Chicago would ensue, and the guy who gave me his number last week that set off the whole giant blow up was from Chicago. Of course, a comment was made about that, which frankly, I was prepared for. It gave us an opportunity to discuss further what happened, and I think it all turned out pretty well. Neither of us is going to put up with bullshit...from either side.
I have to say I am still trying to figure out his friends. Earlier in the week, one of his girlfriends had emailed me to compliment me on my blog. We basically just chit chatted back and forth about the situation, and she encouraged me to make a connection again. Luckily, I didn't have to make the move because Tyler took care of that, but I never got any sort of feeling from her that anything was amiss. I admitted to Tyler last night that she and I had spoke, and he indicated that she told him about it. Apparently, she was offended with my portrayal of him in the blog. I never once got that from her. Sure, she thought it didn't sound like him, but my analysis of the night was absolutely true and the way I observed it. I know we all stick with our friends, but I am just not sure why I keep offending them. Jeesh! :)
This is probably my last post before leaving for Chicago tomorrow, unless there is just something that happens today that needs to be reported. Of course, the last time Romeo and I went out on a Thursday night, there ended up being a fire at work. Good Times! The good news is I finally got my hands on a replacement USB cord for my camera. So, when I post again on Sunday night or Monday, I should have some good pictures to share.

YAY!!! 25 hours and 26 minutes left! We still need to get ingredients for Tabmosas for in the morning. I should be at your place a little after 8:00 tonight. We may be in trouble...I just remembered that they have $2.50 wells at Greg's tonight. If anything catastrophic happens tonight, feign ignorance.
